Asanas
I can teach you asanas for relaxation, fixing of any body pain problem, stomach and digestion problems, knees and back pain or any headache or tension.
Asanas are different poses or postures that are more than streching and toning of the physical body. They open the 'Nadis' (energy channels) and 'Chakras' (psychic centers) of the body. Asanas purify and help heal the body. There are 88 asanas. All of them have physical and mental health benefits. You can practice those asanas which you are able to do, since some of them are very easy. Don't be afraid of them because they are much easier than they look like in pictures. Go to a Yoga teacher and he or she will teach you the easy exercises and asanas by standing, sitting or laying down on back or stomach. For example the 'Sirsasana' or headstand is good for all body circulation, good for stomach, liver, pancreas, kidney and lungs and of course the spine, neck and shoulders. 'Halasana' is very good for fixing stomach problems. It is good for your back if you have tight muscles or for joints. |
Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation
It is very important to understand what is Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation. This is not only saluting the sun, which you do with the first pose, but is all about elements. There are 5 elements: earth, sky, air, water and fire. So with Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation we salute these five elements and 2 more. They are called he and me. So totally there are 7 chakras.
In Sun Salutation there are 7 plus 5, total 12 positions of the body. Very important to understand is that we have 1 body divided into 2 parts: left and right. The 7 chakras are between. When you do the Sun Salutation, you make 7 different asanas in the first part for the right part of the body and in the second part for the left side of the body by making 5 asanas in reverse action. By practicing the Sun Salutation, you get the energy from the Nature which repairs your body and gives power to the Chakras who control both parts of your body.
